Hi, my installation has some issues:

horizon-client-linux-45-document.pdf ... FAILED
vmware-horizon-usb ... Passed
vmware-horizon-usb.service ... Passed

==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check!
==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build vmware-horizon-client.

Found the issue with folder sharing... The horizon client is incompatible with our libglibmm... I added the library from an Ubuntu 14.04 package and everything works.

We have new split packages vmware-horizon-tsdr (folder sharing) and vmware-horizon-mmr (multimedia redirection).

Did anybody managed to successfully configure folder sharing?

While there is no built in scaling option, this:

Causes scaling to work on the remote host.

Looks like there is no option to configure scaling - unlike the Windows and mobile versions the Linux version is missing this feature. No idea why.

Feel free to issue a ticket on VMware for this...

Is there a way to disable HiDPI Scaling?

Right now, I can't use this application on my new monitor as the icons and everything is super tiny. I can't adjust screen resolution on my VDI due to ridiculous security at my work.

This is excellent. Running on ManjaroLinux 17.0

this is running fine for me, but after starting KDE shortcuts (Alt+F2 and all others) are not working, even after exiting vmwar-horizon.
Is this a known issue, are there workarounds known?

Thanks, otherwise I was going to have to hold off on updating it until we finished our View Upgrade to use Blast Extreme.

eworm commented on 2016-09-16 05:52

Yes, it does.
I decided to merge vmware-horizon-client and vmware-horizon-pcoip into one package. Everybody wants PCoIP (and BLAST) anyway, and it helps to work around openssl issues.
