Even after the release of pamac-aur-git 7.4.0.r24.g3bcb34d-1, I'm still having the issue that this package seems to be building, but then not installing. I don't see any open reports upstream. Is anyone else having this issue?

@ax34: in order to avoid conflicting binaries? :D

I still don't understand. Why "something-git" package should replace "something" package while "something" package is still actual and popular?

FredBezies commented on 2019-06-24 07:11

@ax34: a security I added for manjaro users. Antergos added its version of pamac in its own repository.

So this is why there is a replace() function added in PKGBUILD.

Yay tries to replace pamac-aur with this package because of replaces=('pamac') Why does this package replace pamac?

See : https://gitlab.manjaro.org/applications/pamac/issues/604 and https://gitlab.manjaro.org/applications/pamac/issues/599

For example.

This package seems to be building, but then not installing. Is anyone else having the same issue?

Edit-1 | Thanks @FredBezies. Mea culpa; I omitted checking upstream for the issue. I assumed it was something local on my machine.

@Papajoke :

Version number? I'm just using git sources. So just shout at pamac developer for his choice.

I will add provides and replaces lines for Manjaro users... Who should not use it, as it removes pacman-mirrors support. Manjaro users MUST wait for an official release of THEIR main package management tool.

Anyway, modification added EVEN IF IT USELESS for Arch / Antergos / Anarchy / Namib users.
