The latest support Intel HDA is 0x8c20, and I am using a348. If your sound card is not listed there, it is not supported.

  • 8c20 ("8 Series/C220 Series Chipset High Definition Audio Controller")
  • a348 ("Cannon Lake PCH cAVS")

I have removed the out of date flag from 2015-04-20 as the package seems to work for me and gets the git source so not sure why/how it would be out of date.

Updated (ac48ed-1) for build 2011 (to match oss and oss-nonfree).

Updated (58f453-2) for build 2010 (well, to match oss and oss-nonfree anyway), some clean-up in the PKGBUILD as suggested by nuc (thank you!), use of mkaurball (for new .AURINFO requirement in AUR) and renaming libflashsupport-oss to not conflict with the other ones (seems to be another new AUR requirement).

Updated (f604899-1) with patch for 3.14 kernel (same as for oss and oss-nonfree).

oss-git, along with oss, have been patched to run correctly when compiled with the latest gcc. Please let me know if you have any problems.

Nowaker commented on 2013-11-02 09:04

@computerquip, It compiles but it doesn't work. Please refer to comments of package oss.

computerquip commented on 2013-11-02 03:19

Why is gcc 4.7 needed over system default?
It seems to compile on my end just fine without it.

Analogous to the fixed PKGBUILD for oss I made one for the Git version as well:

Please note that current OSS - both from [community] and AUR - does not work. See the bug report for details:

The only working OSS is oss-nonfree in AUR.
