@Spok Does Wifi improve at all when you disable Bluetooth? Booting with BT disabled was a good start for me, removing "SupportedTechnologies=LE" from the Surface Pen's BT profile brought it to an okay-ish state even with BT on. Throughput varies dramatically over time but at least Wifi does not die on me anymore.

Thanks for updating the kernel !

On my side it doesn't seem to have improved things very much though. The wifi still randomly drops between 1min and a couple of hours of use, and I have to reboot to get it back (restarting network manager or the kernel module doesn't help)

I have some weird battery readings now after the update. It is sitting at 94% even after one hour of average use. I am not sure if this is correct, unless some major optimization were made in the latest kernel update.

I'm actually working on the update as we speak. Hope to upload it tonight/tomorrow.

4.14.8 and upwards will improve Wifi a lot on the Surface Book 1. Is there any chance you can update this package any time soon?

I have the lastest driver. I tried to revert to the previous version of the linux-surface package to see if things return to normal behaviour. Thanks again.

@Vynce Maybe you need the lastest driver for mwifiex git clone git://git.marvell.com/mwifiex-firmware.git sudo mkdir -p /lib/firmware/mrvl/ sudo cp mwifiex-firmware/mrvl/* /lib/firmware/mrvl/

@Vynce you also need to downgrade the corresponding network manager library. Did you also copied the Network Manager Configuration, which you can find on jakeday's repository (on github)?

Vynce commented on 2017-12-10 11:21

Downgrade to "networkmanager 1.10.0-1" doesn't help. I still have issues. Maybe you downgraded other packages as well? Thanks for your help!

Downgrade to version 1.10.0 made my wifi works But the touchscreen still is wrong after hibernated
