@freaknils: Hi bro, follow this guide:

I installed this kernel, but the touch screen does not work. Do I need to install another packet?

StupidBunny commented on 2017-04-16 17:29

I have the new lts version installed. The touch screen works like a dream, and no black screen problems when quitting X server. I have used it extensively with no apparent stability issues. Note that the type cover ceases to work if I remove and reattach it, though I could do this in the previous lts release.

Sorry for being late. Tomorrow I will push the new lts version 4.9.

StupidBunny commented on 2017-03-30 09:53

Do you have touchscreen operating on the 4.9 version? Also on an unrelated note, what are the prospects for getting the camera(s) working in the near future?

SuperBo commented on 2017-03-20 08:50

I have used 4.9 version for a long time and sometimes, my surface get hang and become unusable, I have to hot shutdown the device.

Do you want me to upgrade this to latest lts branch 4.9 or keep it at 4.4.

@ressler: I build this package for stable usage so I don't include Touchscreen support in this package. When Linux 4.9 is officially release in main repo, I will make an aur package that supports touchscreen.

Moreover, you have to config mkinitcpio.conf and boot loader to use hibernate, for more informations You also have to config sleep hook in order to wake the device from sleep.

Maybe I'll start an arch wiki page for Surface Pro 4 when I have free time.

Does this have the touchscreen patches included? I'm able to boot; is there anything else I need to do to take full advantage of this? (Instruction page somewhere?)
