I'm no longer maintaining this package as https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/i2c-piix4-aura-dkms

is a far better approach - props to @Terence for doing the work!

@ti-mo Thanks!I have the same board and it worked as well using OpenAuraSDK. I didnt know about Borealis, I'll give it a try. I thought it was not working before because I didn't know you needed i2c-dev to enable the interface.

Terence, just tried out your i2c-piix4-aura-dkms package, works like a charm with Borealis on my Crosshair VI Hero. Thanks a bunch!

Welp I created a dkms version of this: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/i2c-piix4-aura-dkms Can you test it and report back if it's working ?

I think this is for https://gitlab.com/CalcProgrammer1/OpenAuraSDK/, can you mention it in the description?

Terence commented on 2019-08-02 15:57

How do you use it once installed?

chestm007 commented on 2019-07-28 07:53

mostly as it was easier for me as i have not done a dkms module before, if you want to refactor it be my guest, it'll save me from needing to compile an entirely new kernel on every release.

Is there a reason for packaging a kernel instead of a dkms module?
