Actually, manually building the upstream jre7-openjdk-headless fails for me too, so I'm not sure what's going on.

Rhinoceros commented on 2014-08-24 05:33

@trollixx No worries. Hope you had a good trip. :)

I'm not sure why, but I can't build this, nor can I build my own previously-working version any more. `makepkg -s` of both results in

checking if the VM and compiler work together... configure: error: Compiler failed to compile Java code.
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build().

Full error here:

Also, unrelated, but I think you need to modify jre7-openjdk-headless.install to deal with the new `archlinux-java` (see upstream package).

Sorry for the delay, I was on vacation. The update has been uploaded.

Rhinoceros commented on 2014-08-24 00:58

@Bersam Great! Glad it worked. I didn't have to modify much, so it should probably be as stable as upstream.

Bersam commented on 2014-08-23 18:42

My bad, forgot to pacman -Syu before compiling. Everything works like a charm.

Bersam commented on 2014-08-23 18:00

I got "/bin/sort: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" on your PKGBUILD.
Do you have crypto++ installed on your system? is that a build dependency?

Rhinoceros commented on 2014-08-23 15:32

@Bersam and @jkl, here is an updated PKGBUILD that works for me [1]. I downloaded the source files for jre7-openjdk-headless [2], swapped the PKGBUILD, and it worked fine.

@trollixx If you are no longer interested in maintaining this, I'm happy to take over.

Bersam commented on 2014-08-20 19:31

@jkl I think recompile upstream package with infinality flag enabled could do the job for a while,

jkl commented on 2014-08-20 15:11

Any update on this? Is the solution not to just sync this up with the latest version of the PKGBUILD from ABS with the enable-infinality flag added?

I'm just writing to confirm that resizing the /tmp solved my problem.

I also had to add the export mentioned by petaurus:
_JAVA_OPTIONS='-Dawt.useSystemAAFontSettings=lcd -Dswing.aatext=true'
