I got the same error in compiling r-mkl (AUR).

intel-tbb.conf should be modified as such:

About the compiling problem, I'm having trouble compiling r-mkl (AUR).
It fails at the configure stage with:

checking whether mixed C/Fortran code can be run... configure: WARNING: cannot run mixed C/Fortran code
configure: error: Maybe check LDFLAGS for paths to Fortran libraries?

The PATH variable has nothing to do with this packages, you define it yourself.

You are right, now the cluster version finally works and I will fix the mpi wrappers asap

After install in my PATH environment variables incorrect paths:

I might be wrong, but is the cluster edition not hosted here:

About the version number, it is only for this global arch package, it seems like it was 18.0.4 for the update4 in 2017, but changed at intel to 18.0 now, so I will just leave it with 18.0.4 for now so that the pacman database doesnt cry.

Will update this as soon as intel releases newer C version of course.

I have removed the fortran conflicting files so now it should be more smooth to install. Let me know if it doesnt work for anyone.

@alexanderp what issues do you have when compiling? I test compiled simple stuff and it worked, are you using mpi by any chance?

Also the intel-tbb.conf generated in the install dirs points to the correct path you are mentioning, to mee, in what exact file do you want to change that path? in the template?

alexanderp commented on 2017-09-20 08:48

intel-tbb.conf needs updating. The correct path is:

Also, I cannot compile software anymore with icc/icpc/ifort!

totsilence commented on 2017-09-20 05:14

Thanks for updating. But why is there a '4' in the version number (2018. That appears to be a leftover from the previous release.

For the conflicting files I simply removed them from the intel-fortran package as their are identical to the ones in the intel-compiler-base package:

# Remove duplicate headers found in intel base
rm ${xe_build_dir}/opt/intel/${_composer_xe_dir}/linux/compiler/include/omp_lib.f90
rm ${xe_build_dir}/opt/intel/${_composer_xe_dir}/linux/compiler/include/intel64/omp_lib.mod
rm ${xe_build_dir}/opt/intel/${_composer_xe_dir}/linux/compiler/include/intel64/omp_lib_kinds.mod

fkoehler commented on 2017-09-19 22:54

I get the error following about some files being contained by the subpackages intel-compiler-base and intel-fortran-compiler at the same time:
/opt/intel/compilers_and_libraries_2018.0.128/linux/compiler/include/intel64/omp_lib.mod exists in both 'intel-compiler-base' and 'intel-fortran-compiler'
/opt/intel/compilers_and_libraries_2018.0.128/linux/compiler/include/intel64/omp_lib_kinds.mod exists in both 'intel-compiler-base' and 'intel-fortran-compiler'
/opt/intel/compilers_and_libraries_2018.0.128/linux/compiler/include/omp_lib.f90 exists in both 'intel-compiler-base' and 'intel-fortran-compiler'

It is still possible to force installation though. But a fix would be nice.
