gbs, thanks, it have built smooth after
PATH=/usr/bin:$PATH yay -S coin
But what is the problem do you think? Pamac can't build it, only yay with setting PATH.

A symbolic link helps to compile the package:

sudo ln -s /usr/include /include

but I don't think that's a good solution.

I have the exact same problem as vlas. Previous versions of the package did not raise any problems.

vlas, something must be broken in your installation then, because I can compile both in my system and in a clean chroot. As an experiment, can you try setting PATH=/usr/bin:$PATH before building?

Thanks. I hate when upstream just kind of gives up on releasing stable tarballs. Makes thing so much harder for distributions.

gbs commented on 2019-06-30 11:20

CReimer, the stable version is from 2010, and upstream apparently has no desire to release 4.0.0. The stable version was also giving compilation problems with FreeCAD. Note that Debian Testing also has a 4.0.0 snapshot of Coin3D.

This is not the latest stable version. Is there a good reason for not using the stable version like for example Fedora does?

Stable version is 3.1.3
