To flagger @billypilgrim and all curious: I've tested the current upstream release 5.5.7011.0206 and it has the same systemic problem we've seen with everything since 5.4.53391.1108. If anybody finds a way to make it usable know that we're open to fixing this up, we just haven't figured out how to make it work yet.

I'm unflagging again as this is the last known viable release for this method.

@billypilgrim Please stop flagging this as out of date, see previous comments.

@Gobidev As per the multitude of previous comments, I'm unflagging this because it is not out of date. Just because 5.7.6 (aka. 5.7.31792.0820) is available does not mean it is compatible with Arch system libs. At this point it is not.

@areographe Please don't flag this as out of date just because the upstream zoom package (and AUR repackage) are newer. We can't update this unless there is a way to get it running without the bundled system libraries. As of this writing there is still not one we know of. Use it at this version or use the other package. See also pinned comment.

Hello, this app stops when I rename my name. Is there any solution?

alerque commented on 2021-03-09 09:33

@Goldman60 See pinned comment. Versions newer that what we currently have here do not function without the bundled libraries. Use the zoom package if you need something newer. I just checked 5.5.7938.0228 and the story is the same.

@ChrisLane - yup. Launch with XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=gnome /usr/bin/zoom.

I get the following error when I try to screenshare on Wayland. Anyone have any solutions? https://i.imgur.com/SycVAtQ.png

@je-vv Sadly, no. I just bumped and built 5.5.6955.0131 and have the same unresolved trouble trying to run it that we've been seeing.

@caleb and @netcrusher, how about 5.5.0? Does it work with system Qt libs?
