I'm confused... I have r82 installed but if I update the package r86 is installed, not r79.

Are you advocating re-installing r79 from my cache?

Checking xsettingsd-git-r86.1b2bcca-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz xsettingsd-git E: Missing custom license directory (usr/share/licenses/xsettingsd-git)

Rolled back spam commit performing a completely broken and invalid merge of separate branches, which tried to fix something that @bidulock already successfully convinced the maintainer to fix, 2.5 years ago.

(Seriously, what is with the untested git file merge conflict markers sprinkled everywhere.)

AFAICT this package needs zero changes so it can stay that way...

Disowned as I no longer use this.

bidulock: done.

git should be in makedepends.

Can you add xsettingsd in conflicts and provide fields ?

I'm getting this error...

==> Extracting sources...
-> Creating working copy of xsettingsd git repo...
fatal: Not a git repository (or any parent up to mount point /dev/shm)
Stopping at filesystem boundary (GIT_DISCOVERY_ACROSS_FILESYSTEM not set).
==> ERROR: Failure while updating working copy of xsettingsd git repo
Aborting...

I compile in /dev/shm but this is the first time I've seen this error. Could someone please point out where I'm going wrong? I was able to install xsettingsd-git r77.9bc44ad-1 previously. Thanks.

Edit: setting GIT_DISCOVERY_ACROSS_FILESYSTEM=true worked.
