PSA: I've started hosting this and all its dependencies as prebuilt packages in my repository for those that want to install them using pacman without messing around with building from the AUR.

@caleb, done. You are now co-maintainer. I am very thankful for your help. I have been a bit absent due to some tough times that I am going through on my personal life at the moment. I apologize for the delay.

@vonpupp Would you please consider adding me as a co-maintainer to this package? I already co-maintain the -git VCS package for this along with @haawda as well as the biblesync & biblesync-git packages. You can see I recently posted some cleanup work to those packages and I would like tho update this as well. You can see what the commit notes here for details on what I would start with. There are currently quoting issues which Arch guidelines require be fixed, as well as duplicate keys and a few other oddities. Additionally the biblesync dep is fixed using its so-name. You could push that commit too, but because I am hosting prebuilt packages for this it would be nice to be able to fix things that come up in the future as well. Thanks for the consideration.

Some debian patches regardeing gconf applied.

Alad commented on 2019-01-12 14:23

Could you adapt this patch which removes gconf as a dependency?

A simple rebuild should fix this icu issue, which is not an issue at all.

Hello, I have the following error while launching xiphos: "xiphos: error while loading shared libraries: libicui18n.so.61: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

Guess the recent cui upgrade broke the package dependency. Ideas to fix this? Thanks

PS. I tried this solution (changing the 59 to 61 version, which fixed the problem): https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/407473/error-while-loading-shared-libraries-libicuuc-so-59-cannot-open-shared-object/408316#408316

Guess we want to update the definition/depedency of xiphos to icu 62 version now.

icu was installed (it's a core package).

The problem was that I had sword-svn installed. Installing sword fixed it.
