With release of xfce4 4.14 and related components this package won't be updated until new development snapshots become available (probably with 4.15.x release cycle). Please don't flag for deletion or out of date (unless there is a new development release).

Can you add this as a dependency? Without it, I cannot build in a clean-chroot against needed (the arch-build scripts will download the wrong version from [extra]).

depends=(... xfconf>=4.13.7-1")

xfdesktop: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

As an FYI, as of Feb 11 2018 if you try to install this with Thunar-devel installed, it fails with:

xfdesktop-xfdesktop-file-icon-manager.o: In function `xfdesktop_file_icon_manager_populate_context_menu':

xfdesktop-file-icon-manager.c:(.text+0x343f): undefined reference to `thunarx_menu_provider_get_file_actions'

xfdesktop-file-icon-manager.c:(.text+0x3691): undefined reference to `thunarx_menu_provider_get_folder_actions'

collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

However, if Thunar from the repositories is installed first, xfdesktop-devel installs fine (thunar-devel can be installed after).

Thanks killermoehre and twa022 for getting this fix in. I was able to transition without issue today. Took me a while to look at this again and see it was fixed.

Thanks killermoehre. Took me a while to get around to this. For anyone else, the process to transition from ...-4.11 to ...-devel is to answer Y to edit PKGBUILD and change the following line:

provides=("${_pkgname}=${pkgver}" "${_pkgname}-4.11")

then continue with the install.

Of course, the maintainer of this package needs to make that change to the PKGBUILD, but since it's been a while without the fix, if you run into a problem with the transition, this is how to fix it yourself.

Please add to the provide list "${_pkgname}-4.11" for easy transition.
Thank you.
