@Carlinhos: the package is not out-of-date! Everything works as expected.

Source seems to be down.

I'm experiencing a weird bug in 4.10 where the first time I mount my micro sd card it shows up just fine. But the next time I mount it it shows up grey even though it mounted fine. Then clicking on it just gives me the option to mount or mount and open despite the fact that the sd card is already mounted. The only solution i've found is to remove places and add it to panel again. Obviously this is an inelegant solution. Anyone know any fixes?

@Carlinhos: I can replicate this unwanted behavior as well. It does not retain any user-defined settings after running 'xfce4-panel --restart'. There isn't a .rc file for it in ~/.config/xfce4/panel and there's no trace of configuration options for the plugin in xfce4-panel's xfconf file (which rules out tweaking a file manually).

Whenever I reboot it goes back to showing the icon only even though I changed it to both icon and label. Anyone else experiencing this behaviour?
