@aperez thanks a lot, all arch in (armv7l/h, aarch64, x86_64) have been updated and published with canvas on.

Looking forward to build 2.32!

@webreflection: I have updated this with the version of the patch backported to the 2.30.x branch, you should be able now to build with ENABLE_ACCELERATED_2D_CANVAS=ON. Thanks for your help with this issue!

@webreflection: Wonderful, thanks for giving it some testing, I'll try to get the patch merged in the WebKit repository and included in the upcoming 2.30.2 release.

@aperez I can confirm the patch works at least for x86_64 target

@webreflection: Could you try applying this patch, re-enabling the accelerated 2D canvas, and checking whether things work as expected?

@aperez I can confirm 2.30 builds without QT and accelerated canvas. It complained about qtwpelib or similar, but I have not much interest in that part (yet) so I'm looking forward to be able to re-enable HW accelerated canvas in 2.32. Thanks a lot for working on that

@aperez not sure if relevant, I provide cairo-glesv2-armv7l and cairo-glesv2-aarch64 and with that option ON I can say everything I've tried worked absolutely fine even on a Raspberry Pi 2 ... and it's been a year or more that I build with that flag on and nobody reported issues so far.

@webreflection: I meant this e-mail which basically also points to the bug. Note that the ENABLE_ACCELERATED_2D_CANVAS still uses Cairo and some degree of software-based rendering... depending on what your hardware is and the content being rendered WebKit can be slower with the option enabled.

@aperez thanks, but no reply ever landed in the ML for me, however ENABLE_ACCELERATED_2D_CANVAS is one of the reason WPEWebKit is awesome ... no HW accelerated canvas, not many advantages in building WPEWebKit so I hope this will get fixed soon and thanks for coming back!

@webreflection: I have replied to you in the mailing list, the issue is trying to build with ENABLE_ACCELERATED_2D_CANVAS enabled which got broken and we are looking into fixing it (bug #217384).
