Hi franciscocpg,

The package works well, except that emoji have a white background rather than blending in with the theme. Screenshot: https://imgur.com/xeAUbky

Furthermore, the StartupWMClass in the desktop file is wrong. I managed to get pinning etc to work properly in GNOME by changing it to "whatsapp-nativefier-d52542".

the icon is still pixelated on gnome dash to dock. instead of using the same icon for the .desktop, it creates a new low quality icon for display and stands side by side with the .desktop icon on the dock

Hi Franciscocpg,

yes it is german, I just updated it and it works like a charm now, thank you very much!

sispus, eugen-b

It looks like nativefier has changed the way it generates the file name (see https://github.com/jiahaog/nativefier/pull/850) and so it broke this build.

Thank you for the feedback. It should be working now.

Hi micronetic

There is a hack to make this works https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/tree/whatsapp-nativefier-dark-inject.js?h=whatsapp-nativefier-dark#n1498

But this hack depends on the language. Currently, the languages supported are english and portuguese.

It looks like the language you posted is german right? I'm going to add a hack for this language as well.

Everything worked with the change of the lines what Eugen said but as of a few minutes ago I got a new problem:

as eugen said line 41 in PKGBUILD should be changed to: cp -rL "${srcdir}/WhatsApp-linux-"* "${pkgdir}/opt/${pkgname}"

and line 42 should be changed to: ln -s "/opt/${pkgname}/WhatsApp" "${pkgdir}/usr/bin/${pkgname}"

changing line 41 allow me to install, but .desktop file won't work.

According to https://forum.manjaro.org/t/aur-whatsapp-fehler-bei-paketerstellung/121479/15 line 41 in PKGBUILD should be changed to: cp -rL "${srcdir}/WhatsApp-linux-"* "${pkgdir}/opt/${pkgname}"

I'm getting an error in pkg():

==> Starting package()...
cp: cannot stat '/tmp/makepkg/whatsapp-nativefier-dark/src/whats-app-linux-*': No such file or directory

Hi Antergos.

You're right. This package uses https://github.com/vednoc/dark-whatsapp.

The message you've mentioned comes from here: https://github.com/vednoc/dark-whatsapp/blob/1e41bdf65caa2c357ba0dc51e0ba8907d1cfc487/WhatsApp.user.css#L246

Not sure why the author decided to keep it since it's confusing.

Regarding the icon, I'm not sure what is happening. Like I've mentioned before, this package is a clone of https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/whatsapp-nativefier so it uses the same icon from that package with changes in the CSS only.

I use the deepin-dock and I don't see any problem with the icon.
