The PDF generation fails for me. I do have the texi2pdf binary from texinfo, but it outputs the error message:

(cd doc;texi2dvi --pdf vasm.texi)
You don't have a working TeX binary (tex) installed anywhere in
your PATH, and texi2dvi cannot proceed without one. If you want to use
this script, you'll need to install TeX (if you don't have it) or change
your PATH or TEX environment variable (if you do). See the --help
output for more details.

For information about obtaining TeX, please see http://tug.org/texlive,
or do a web search for TeX and your operating system or distro.
make: *** [make.rules:113: doc/vasm.pdf] Error 1

I think this now requires some sort of enormous makedepends list to handle the pdf generation. I'm not really familiar enough with TeX to guess what's required, though.

Personally I'm not sure it's worth forcing a TEX install just for a PDF that is readily available online for anyone to browse to who wants it, especially if the build of the more easily navigated HTML docs is broken and they are going to be only available online. But I guess there's demand.

Please update the PKGBUILD to install the PDF manual (http://sun.hasenbraten.de/vasm/release/vasm.pdf) to /usr/share/doc/vasm/
