Currently, the second makedepends overwrites the first one rendering it useless.

User-provided “VARIANTS.dat” works, but the “ENCODINGS.dat” support does not really do anything, because the build system actually uses “TARGETS.dat”. The “_encodings” variable which is set in PKGBUILD does not affect anything for the same reason.

@Vain: I have added the support for the user-provided “VARIANTS.dat” and “ENCODINGS.dat”, as suggested. Thanks for the suggestion.

@eworm: Good catch. Actually I ended up adding the dependency as a normal “depends” because mkfontscale/mkfontdir are also called from the postinstall script, so they are needed at runtime as well.

This has a make dependency on xorg-mkfontscale and xorg-mkfontdir.

Hi,

how about letting the user drop his own VARIANTS.dat? Similar to how config.h is handled in dwm-git, for example.

Something among these lines: https://gist.github.com/vain/8f1aa792d12f1e180968

This would make it easier to build customized variants without having to touch the PKGBUILD.

Cheers!
