WARNING! This takes a long time to build, be warned. The repository size is about 13 GB. setup.sh is commented out in favor of Arch Linux dependnecies (see https://wiki.unrealengine.com/Building_On_Linux). Normally this fetches *28 GB* of dependencies. If you a have issues with the build, uncomment setup.sh If you want newer builds to not have to download this content again, do not* delete the cache folder for the build. Keep in mind this is to build the engine/client. If you wish to just use pre-made binaries, register an account at https://www.unrealengine.com/ and visit https://forums.unrealtournament.com/showthread.php?12011-Unreal-Tournament-Pre-Alpha-Playable-Build

Is it really necessary that we download the zip file? It sort of defeats the purpose of the AUR - not only that but the application when launched presents the same login and license agreement you get via the forums.

Windows & Mac get automatic updates because they have a launcher to do updates, doing a AUR or ZIP update that requires manual download seems quaint.

The sed for the desktop file doesn’t work for me.
Instead I use:
sed -i "s@PATH@${DEST}@g" UnrealTournament4.desktop

The "UnrealTournament-Client-XAN-${pkgver}-Linux.zip" file is to be downloaded manually and placed in the PKGBUILD folder. You can grab it from here (require registration): https://forums.unrealtournament.com/showthread.php?12011-Unreal-Tournament-Pre-Alpha-Playable-Build.

Please do not post direct links to this file.

Would you mind to speed up the compression of the package by enabling the multi threaded xz compression, by:

export XZ_OPT="--threads=0"

I don't think that the PKGBUILD should automatically pull the zip file from the aws server as in the post on the UT forums where these links are provided Steve Polge asks for the links not to be posted elsewhere (https://forums.unrealtournament.com/showthread.php?12011-Unreal-Tournament-Pre-Alpha-Playable-Build) and it would just be common decency to not do this. Maybe we could ask for the zip to be downloaded prior and have the cript use it then ?
