@mfs This does not solve the problem. I could add "git reset --hard HEAD" or something along those lines. Not sure that is a good solution though.

I am using this package and have yaourt keep the sources after the build so that I don't have to download the entire GIT repo every time I do an upgrade. But this introduces the following problem: During the package build process, a file called unknown-horizons.6 is created and run_uh.py is modified. As PKGBUILD calls git pull --rebase the next time I do an upgrade, git complains that "you have unstaged changes" and the upgrade fails. So I propose that git pull --rebase be replaced by git pull (in line 25 of the PKGBUILD).

When I try to install this package with clyde, there is a misspelled dependency, "python-distultils-extra", which it fails to find.

It should be spelled "python-distutils-extra", I think.

Updated to use python2

Doesn't work now with python 3.

I got the error message:

github.com[0: 207.97.227.239]: errno=Connection timed out
fatal: unable to connect a socket (Connection timed out)
Aborting...
==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build unknown-horizons-git.

with your pkgbuild.

changing the _gitroot to "http://github.com/unknown-horizons/unknown-horizons.git" in the pkgbuild solved the problem.

here is the new pkbuild: http://aur.pastebin.com/c3uTRxFE
