Unity doesn't provide version-specific urls for Unity Hub so on every update there will be some period where the sum is incorrect until I find time to update the package.

Then even after I update the package, the CDN will keep serving the old version for a while to some people...

There isn't much that I can do to make this better, so please be patient.

Looks like there's a new md5sum

@devil_driver you can't download the linux version from the web as far as I know.

spacepluk commented on 2019-04-08 13:41

@tinytangent When you downloaded without the proxy did you get the last version? Maybe some mirrors take longer to update and that's why the file is different.

I don't know why they would serve a different build for china. But if that's the case you could also replace the checksum with SKIP so you don't need to deal with the proxy.

I can't really put that change in the package because they don't offer versioned urls for the downloads and then I wouldn't know when they change the binary. And also people would download the wrong version during the time it takes for me to update the package.

It not works when i use the UnityHub button from unity webpage archive download.

Seems the MD5 sum differs when downloading from a different country, leading to the failure of the build process. (I was downloading from Mainland China.)

When using a proxy server in the US, however, the PKGBUILD works fine.

@cra0zy @VoodaGod thanks!

i had to make /opt/unityhub/resources/app.asar.unpacked/external/7z/linux64/7z executable in order to install Windows Build support, as unityhub now bundles its own 7zip

harry-cpp commented on 2019-03-07 08:47

The bundled 7z does not have executable permissions set properly.

Just notifying that md5sum has changed again

spacepluk commented on 2018-12-19 16:28

hi @sfranchi, I'm calculating the md5sum with updpkgsums when they release a new version. They just released 1.4.0 a few hours ago so if you have an older PKGBUILD it won't work because they don't provide versioned urls at the moment.
