So, I decided to adopt this package.

Changeged PKGBUILD and tested building, it works for me.

This is my first package in the AUR.
If you've got suggestions, improovments and/or bugs ,please leave a comment.

Maybe that you have to install the languagefiles(.mo) manually. Vistit the ufoai.org for instructions.

Wondering if anyone else is having this problem:

/usr/bin/ld: debug-linux-x86_64/ufoslicer/common/unzip.c.o: undefined reference to symbol 'crc32'
/usr/bin/ld: note: 'crc32' is defined in DSO /usr/lib/libz.so.1 so try adding it to the linker command line
/usr/lib/libz.so.1: could not read symbols: Invalid operation
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [ufoslicer] Error 1

How much do I have to download? I had 700 MB at 14%. Is it really that much?

i'd suggest to use
git clone --progress git://github.com/ufoai/ufoai.git
cd ufoai
git config remote.origin.url git://ufoai.git.sourceforge.net/gitroot/ufoai/ufoai
regular sourceforce git is not good with slow connections.

I've found another error. In ufo.sh file you set the fs_i18ndir to /usr/bin/locales
But the actual directory does not have this extra 's'
I fixed it here but it didn't solved my problem either :-/
