Err... none. I don't now how that happened; I'm sure I didn't install ttf-ms-fonts by hand. Was this package moved from the repos into AUR? Anyway, it's solved now. Thanks for the hint! ;-)

Which package prodives the file on your system? (pacman -Qo /usr/share/fonts/TTF/andalemo.ttf)

gauthma commented on 2011-08-07 19:38

Isn't the PKGBUILD missing a provides= or conflitcs= line? I ask this because when upgrading, I get a bunch of messages like so:

error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)
ttf-ms-fonts: /usr/share/fonts/TTF/andalemo.ttf exists in filesystem

e.g. an http server doesn't need Xorg, but could use fonts :)

birdflesh commented on 2011-04-16 12:43

I preferred xorg-font-utils since this is what most ttf packages in extra/community use. Personally, I wouldn't even add xorg-font-utils, since it's an indirect dependency of xorg-server and should be available on any system needing fonts (for example ttf-dejavu does not depend on it). Thanx for this, but I'm leaving it this way for now.

IMHO That's not the way. You should explicitly add xorg-mkfontscale and xorg-mkfontdir.

birdflesh commented on 2011-04-16 11:22

Ok I'm (re)adding xorg-font-utils as a dependency (that would satisfy both xorg-mkfontscale and xorg-mkfontdir)

ilpianista commented on 2011-04-16 10:52

needs xorg-mkfontscale xorg-mkfontdir to install

I think the problem is when old files remain from old installs, like the forementioned setup.exe. Try a fesh install in an empty folder. Bauerbill works after I deleted the previous sources, confirmed.

I can confirm PKGBUILD is working fine with Yaourt and Bauerbill/Powerpill.
