Arch wiki recommends a different format when no upstream versions are provided: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/VCS_package_guidelines#The_pkgver()_function

However, a proper pkgver() function seems hard to implement without downloading the entire git repository, which is a waste of time and bandwidth since we are interested in the fonts files only.

I removed all dependencies. @paro As per the version number, because there is no version scheme upstream, I started at 1.0 and will increment one major for each new release. Do you suggest something else?

the xorg-font-utils package has been removed from the official repositories, this will break future builds of this package. See below for more details.

Thank you so much.

I agree that all the dependencies are unnecessary. Moreover, it seems that the used license is Apache v2 now.

By the way, how do you decide the version number? Upstream url doesn't provide releases, and from Github history it seems that the current one is already the 4th revision (at least) of this font.

I think all dependencies should be removed here. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Font_package_guidelines#Dependencies says that fonts don't need to depend on anything.
