to make free version work - you should 'buy' it on website, after that you can unlock it via login/pass as on Traction website

No, the download manager is not part of this package since it is not part of the upstream package. Please feel free to derive a PKGBUILD for the download manager from the waveform AUR pkg if you need it.

The download manager doesn't work: it seems it isn't installed, would it be possible to make it work? Absolutely necessary for Waveform Pro! Thanks :)

The free version links to the same debian package as this one. The difference seems to be the registration/licensing when you start the application. Give it a try.

Can you make a PKGBUILD for Tracktion Waveform Free ? Link:

I've just updated the pkg to 9.3.2. This version crashes the "VideoManager" thread when creating the main window it seems. The beta version seems to work fine. Please use try this if you experience the same problem.

Thanks for the hint. I checked but couldn't find a problem. I am on archlinux as well. Maybe you need to update libcurl-compat?

jhernberg commented on 2018-07-07 13:05

FWIW, I have to start it like this: LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/ Waveform9

Otherwise I get this: Waveform9: /usr/lib/ version `CURL_OPENSSL_3' not found (required by Waveform9)

Maybe a small script to do it would be in order on Archlinux.
