Nope, it's broken for me. I'm getting this error:

error: The root namespace already contains a definition for `AppExcludeEntry'

(full log output is here: https://hastebin.com/ixowopames)

Looks like the latest update fixed the issue, Thanks!

Regarding vala 42.5, here is how to fix it: sed -i 's:--thread:& Core/AppExcludeEntry.vala:' src/makefile

Skylead commented on 2019-01-28 21:14

Downgrading vala to 0.42.4-1 via # pacman -U worked for me

severach commented on 2019-01-28 04:36

downgrading works fine.

carzo commented on 2019-01-27 17:04

just installed arch and apparently can't downgrade vala. hoping this incompatibility issue gets fixed so I can continue messing with arch safely :)

great work severach!

Its an incompatibility with vala 0.42.5. Builds fine in 0.42.4.

Anyone else getting this error trying to update?

Can you add vte3 to depends (not makedepends)? It doesn't run without it.

severach commented on 2018-07-25 01:36

cronie is the only repo package that provides crontab so I changed the depends to cronie. I'll wait for complaints from other cron compatible packages on the AUR to see if there's a better way to get cron.

Arch generally doesn't automatically enable services. Cronie and timeshift are not related and cronie is only needed for automatic backups. What I can do is harass you on each package upgrade until you enable it.
