I've found a problem with TeXworks builds, with latest hunspell (v1.7). The previous build with hunspell v1.6 works fine, but after I upgrade my hunspell to the latest version, the CMake process will fail.

[ 66%] Building CXX object src/CMakeFiles/texworks.dir/texworks_autogen/mocs_compilation.cpp.o make[2]: No rule to make target '/usr/lib/', needed by 'texworks'. Stop. make[1]: [CMakeFiles/Makefile2:236: src/CMakeFiles/texworks.dir/all] Error 2 make: *** [Makefile:152: all] Error 2 ==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build(). Aborting...

And after I created a symbol link from /usr/lib/ to /usr/lib/, it works again.

Easiest way to fix this is to replace synctex_next_result with synctex_scanner_next_result [1]. I did it locally by adding the following line above the cmake (doing it in prepare would be better):

sed -i 's/synctex_next_result/synctex_scanner_next_result/g' src/*.*

The issue is traced to a recent upgrade of libsynctex (libsynctex-2018.47465-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz) which causes an error of texworks: symbol lookup error: texworks: undefined symbol: synctex_next_result. Downgrading the package to libsynctex-2017.44590-14-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz restores functionality.

"Jump to source" causes application exit.

Package no longer builds:

Never mind it's working again all of a sudden. Must have just been something spurious, but it started happening immediately after a system update so I immediately jumped to that as the problem...

After latest pacman -Su, "Jump to PDF" feature no longer works?

Tried rebuilding this package, still nothing. The synctex file looks OK too.

@trichards: It's working again now. Thanks.

trichards commented on 2017-08-21 12:48

@steiny: I just updated the package to 0.6.2-3, where the hardening-wrapper dependency has been removed.

steiny commented on 2017-08-21 11:42

The hardening-wrapper package was removed. Is there a workaround?

@trichards The error has been fixed. Thanks.
