I'm having the collection-mathextra problem as well and would also be happy about a patch :-)

Hello alleut,
collection-mathextra is not an Archlinux package but a TexLive collezction of packages. The Archlinux package texlive-core is made of many TexLive collections (including mathextra).

The collection-mathextra has merged with collection-science (= texlive-science package) into collection-mathscience upstream, so our organization is a bit disturbed now.

The most logical thing to do now is to map texlive-science to collection-mathscience and remove collection-mathextra from texlive-core. I will make a small patch to texlive-localmanager for this.

Well, as usual, it had worked fine but then the error appeared:
% tllocalmgr
Initializing ...
Can't get object for collection-mathextra at /usr/bin/tllocalmgr line 107.

AFAIK, there is no texlive-mathextra package in repos.

Thanks to Rémy, the package is finally up to date again. Thanks to everyone composing workarounds while my perl was not sufficient to do so.

I still strive for more expressive error messages to better help users encountering errors as itsok-dontworry and randompie describe, which usually signal wrong arguments or usage. For example, the minionpro font is not part of the texlive distribution, thus tllocalmagr cannot be used to install it.

I'm getting the same error as randompie when calling install from tllocalmgr:

$ Can't call method "revision" on an undefined value at /usr/bin/tllocalmgr line 416.

Please note that I have updated texlive-localmanger in git to fix various issues.
Don't hesitate to email me if you get issues with the latest version.

Also I am not sure that perl-http-message is needed to make this work.

I followed the directions (got the wget/curl error, fixed it).

$ tllocalmgr
Initializing ...
Welcome to the TeXLive Local Manager shell. Type 'help' for assistance.
tllocalmgr> install minionpro
Can't call method "revision" on an undefined value at /usr/bin/tllocalmgr line 418.

How to fix this?

Just to confirm the instructions worked just fine. I guess the package (and/or upstream code) can be updated accordingly.

@wilbowma procedure works perfectly. I used curl instead of wget, as he mentionned. Thank you !

Oh I see the problem; wget does not take that -o flag, curl would.
