I have texlive 2016 from [testing] installed, and texlive-localmanager seems to have a problem with it.

I sent an e-mail to Rémy Oudompheng, the owner of the texlive-localmanager git repo, four days ago, let's see if he has anything to say.

It seems, this is another weird error message. I never actually got any wildcard to work and from a quick look at the source code suspect it is not implemented.

tllocalmgr> update *

Can't call method "revision" on an undefined value at /usr/bin/tllocalmgr line 481.

Same here

As the installation message of this package says, tllocalmgr "often leaves you with very cryptic error messages" that usually only tell you "that it could not find the package you were asking it for." Check your command line and make sure the package you want to install or update is part of the TexLive distribution.

Feel free to post your exact command line here as a comment. I am not the author of texlive-localmanager, but perhaps I can spot what is wrong with it nonetheless.

I'm unsure whether or not I'm using the program incorrectly, or if the program is broken. When I try to update/install a package I get the error:

Can't call method "revision" on an undefined value at /usr/bin/tllocalmgr line 481.
