Pinned Comments

There are too many patches to list in the description, but I can add them to a pinned message I suppose.
Most of the patches included in udf's PKGBUILD are ones I came up with (and he credited me for them), but I used to apply them with a gdb script.
The main difference from his is that I'm including more patches here.

Patches that we both include:

  • When deleting messages or clearing history in private and non-super groups, "delete for everyone" is checked by default
  • When pinning a message, "notify all members" is unchecked by default
  • When sending images, "send as photo" (or album, where possible) is the default, instead of remembering the last choice

Patches that are currently only in this PKGBUILD:

  • The sticker panel no longer appears by hovering over the button, but by clicking it; this also disables the sidebar version entirely
  • When receiving a mention or reply, the message won't flash (that animation runs regardless of disabling animations in the settings and can only be stopped by focusing the Telegram window, I find that intrusive)
  • All round pictures (avatars) are now rounded rectangles/squares instead (currently does not work for the generated letter avatars of users/chats which don't have one)

Descriptions and credits are given in each patch file as well.

Finally, the 9 in the package name indicates that it is my personal build.
I hope that clears things up for you.

What are the differences from telegram-desktop in the repo? Would be nice adding them to the description.

Also a different name would be better, like did user udf with telegram-desktop-udf-patched
