To solve this problem you need to add the line

usesm = False

to the [feature] section of ~/.TaskCoach/TaskCoach.ini

I've reverted to 1.3.7 and it is working fine. 1.3.8 also segfaults. We should probably take this problem upstream.

I have the same problem as xganesh with taskcoach 1.3.9-1
