You might get linker warnings when trying to run swift or swift-built binaries after upgrading to glibc 2.27. My patch for the qldv tool (used in PKGBUILD):

maximaman: Sorry about that! It should be fixed now. (I didn't use the patch, though, because I didn't realize it had been attached...)

Here's a patch which fixes the build of the latest version:

I can't build the latest version. It fails with

chmod: cannot access 'swift/lib/': No such file or directory

Swift 4.1 was just released, so before everyone starts asking, this package will be updated either later today or tomorrow.

refi.64 commented on 2018-03-14 20:48

Latest package release cleans up quite a few things, and the bubblewrap dependency has been dropped.

In addition, I created an icu55-staticlibs package:

If you install this, you'll be able to statically link the Swift stdlib. Well, except for libdispatch, which doesn't come with static libraries.

@h313 Done!

h313 commented on 2018-02-19 01:44

Could you add lldb into provides?

RemoteAdmin commented on 2018-02-18 07:48

Sorry to complain, but you also forgot to update the .SRCINFO ;)

@wezm Sorry, that should be fixed now. I somehow managed to miss committing a small but necessary change that therefore broke swiftc.
