dependency required gnome-icon-theme. Not enough hicolor-icon-theme

Apparently librsvg is also required. Most systems get this library pre-installed. If absent GLib just ignores it and throws an error when we try to set window icon.

If you wish. Without it Sunflower doesn't accept command line parameters, but it's not required.

thanks: in the DEPENDS-file I read: optional depends on python2-argparse. Should I add it as another optdepend? Again a SHORT explanaition please, if it can be used. Thanks.

MeanEYE commented on 2014-08-03 09:51

@boenki: I'd say "single application instance support".

boenki commented on 2014-08-03 09:47

@MeanEYE: ok, moved python2-gnomekeyring from depends to optdepends.
How can I explain the optdepend for python2-dbus in a SHORT sentence? :D
Thanks.

boenki commented on 2014-08-03 05:38

@MeanEYE: So, python2-gnomekeyring is an optional dependency?

MeanEYE commented on 2014-08-03 00:09

@boenki GnomeKeyring is used for safe password storage for remote mounts. We create our own keyring and store all passwords there. If this package is not available passwords can not be entered in Sunflower. Just a safety feature.

We expose some functions such as creating a new tab (terminal or files) and focusing main window. We also expose this API interface so potential plugins can extend their functionality through DBus access. Mind you this is the first implementation of DBus so it's probably messy. Currently implemented functions are used to ensure single instance of program is allowed. Since DBus is optional we resort to using lockfiles if it's not available.
