Fixed archlinux.patch, should build correctly now.

This package is *not* guaranteed to build. Please do not mark it out of date unless there is a packaging error. Any and all bugs that do not deal with how this is packaged should be directed to the sm-ssc devs themselves. They have an IRC chatroom and a Google code page, linked to from here. sm-ssc will not receive future updates "as sm-ssc", and will turn into Stepmania 5 in the future.

Sorry for the delay, I'm quite busy right now. :( I'm quite new to patching so I couldn't make your patch work, it gave me something like "malformed line 4: failure 'Install either curl or wget.'". I added an sed line which has the same effect, but it's not a good solution I think. If anybody wants to take care of the package I'd orphan it since I'm not using it any more.

As of Feb 05 2011, the pkg doesn't build because of an svn checkout error when fetching ffmpeg. Here's a small patch that fixes the problem:

Since nobody wants to take care of this, I've taken it over. I commented out the gcc patch and fixed a little licence problem and now it seems to build fine. Please report any errors!

It seams that http://paste.pocoo.org/raw/235807/ is no longer valid. Artefact2, could you please resend the patch to pastebin here on AUR?

Anonymous comment on 2010-07-10 11:08

This is because of the gcc43 patch, it has probably already been applied upstream.
Just remove (or comment) the relevant line in the PKGBUILD.

The current PKGBUILD doesn’t compile, perhaps because of GCC 4.5 (?) :

$ makepkg
[…]
g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I../../src -fno-exceptions -finline-limit=300 -I/home/fractal/Arch/builds/stepmania-svn/src/stepmania/_build/../ffmpeg-r8448/_inst/include -march=x86-64 -mtune=generic -O2 -pipe -MT InputHandler_Linux_Joystick.o -MD -MP -MF .deps/InputHandler_Linux_Joystick.Tpo -c -o InputHandler_Linux_Joystick.o `test -f 'arch/InputHandler/InputHandler_Linux_Joystick.cpp' || echo '../../src/'`arch/InputHandler/InputHandler_Linux_Joystick.cpp
../../src/arch/InputHandler/InputHandler_Linux_Joystick.cpp: In constructor ‘InputHandler_Linux_Joystick::InputHandler_Linux_Joystick()’:
../../src/arch/InputHandler/InputHandler_Linux_Joystick.cpp:48:27: erreur: no matching function for call to ‘stat::stat(const char*&, stat*)’
/usr/include/bits/stat.h:47:3: note: candidats sont: stat::stat()

../../src/arch/InputHandler/InputHandler_Linux_Joystick.cpp:55:28: erreur: ‘S_ISCHR’ was not declared in this scope

Any known workaround?

This package now provides 'stepmania'.

Ape commented on 2010-04-21 13:43

I adopted the package and added the libpng14 patch. Issues should now be fixed, but please send a message here if you have any problems.
