Hmm... I wonder if they split the packages. Anyway, it's been updated to include transmission-{cli,gtk,qt} as optdepends instead.

On install: Optional dependencies for sonarr: sabnzbd: an NZB downloader; nzbget: an NZB downloader; transmission: a torrent downloader; deluge: a torrent downloader.

However, transmission is not a package. Possible alternatives are: transmission-cli - daemon, with CLI, and web client (http://localhost:9091) interfaces; transmission-remote-cli - Curses interface for the daemon; transmission-gtk - GTK3 package; transmission-qt - Qt5 package.

Could the "optional" dependencies be updated?

Hey, no rush. I am really impressed that you updated this just very few minutes after I have sent you an email. I hope we weren't annoying you with notifications.

For posterity, here is my edited but untested sonarr.service https://github.com/SAKUJ0/aur-sonarr/blob/master/sonarr.install

I'm sorry I've been away for the last couple of weeks and left the package outdated in the mean time. Hopefully people that needed an update will have figured out editing the version number in the PKGBUILD file.

The package should now be up to date with the latest upstream version. I'll see about incorporating SAKUJ0's suggested change during this weekend.

https://github.com/SAKUJ0/aur-sonarr is updated to 2.0.0.3212.

It moves configuration from /var/lib/sonarr/* to /var/lib/sonarr/.config/NzbDrone/* , which is the default directory Sonarr looks for configuration, if the sonarr user's home directory is /var/lib/sonarr.

This allows sonarr to be launched without parameters and is a prerequisite to restart Sonarr from within the UI.

So far, the AUR package set a -data=/var/lib/sonarr option, which is not recommended by the Sonarr developers (partly because of the reasons above). I have supplied untested routines to migrate existing configuration from /var/lib/sonarr to /var/lib/sonarr/.config/NzbDrone. Please double check the simple but untested install script, before blindly applying it (or just change the official AUR PKGBUILD, change its version and issue an updpkgsums).

I think I am about to make a git repo. I will get rid off all the legacy stuff with NzbDrone config folders and deprecated folders but instead install Sonarr the way the developers recommend to. I'll link it in this comment.

Upstream has been updated again to 2.0.0.3212.

Package works updating the pkgver to

pkgver="2.0.0.3154"

and issuing a `updpkgsums` into 3b9493499dccde7acd259dcc6582cc9c (md5sum) etc.

I would recommend editing the .install to store files inside /var/lib/sonarr/.config/sonarr, rather than inside /var/lib/sonarr, which allows to remove the -data option in the service file, as was suggested by Taloth earlier.
