I'm not sure how to send a pull request yet, however, I'd like to propose changing the /usr/share/applications/slic3r-prusa3d.desktop file to the one in the URL.

Changes: (1) file now passes desktop-file-validate without a warning about a deprecated key entry

(2) permits double clicking on an STL file to open the file in Slic3r.

hey, my build is failing currently with this error:

error: RPC failed; curl 52 Empty reply from server fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly

is this ok? I just inserted the Slic3r folder manually, now it builds but i think the download link is broken

Works again. Thanks!

Slic3r's Cmake files expect prove to be in the same path as the perl executable. That's not the case on Arch and to work around that I added a small sed command to just remove the absolute path and rely on PATH

But by default /usr/bin/core_perl should be part of the PATH variable. Arch's perl package contains /etc/profile.d/ which adds /usr/bin/core_perl to PATH

Your PATH Variable should look something like that: /usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/lib/jvm/default/bin:/usr/bin/site_perl:/usr/bin/vendor_perl:/usr/bin/core_perl

Build failed with: Can't open perl script "/bin/prove" Do we need to symlink /usr/bin/core_perl/prove to bin?

Has some new features like the gyroid infill type option.

It's in now. I also accidentally updated to 1.39.1-alpha. But this shouldn't be much of a problem. I'm using this version since its release now and it works just fine.

As @Frans-Willem requested already - could you please add cmake as a make dependency?

Sorry for this huge delay. I used to be much faster at this. Don't know what's wrong these days.

Anyways. I want to thank webhive for the updated PKGBUILD. I pretty much just copied it over.
