I am getting the following error trying to build this package:

@tomcattiger can you try one last thing? Maybe this works maybe it doesn't. Reinstall this package with the gtest package installed.

yay -Rns sdformat-6
yay -Syu gtest
yay -Syu sdformat-6

This should make the package use Arch's gtest instead of the one prepackaged in the codebase (hopefully).

Sorry for getting back to you late, for some reason I didn't get a notification. Can you make an issue upstream (https://bitbucket.org/osrf/sdformat/issues?status=new&status=open)? Maybe the devs have a potential solution to this issue.

tomcattiger commented on 2019-10-14 20:47

@acxz The problem is still. Is there anything about gtest?

Scanning dependencies of target gtest [ 0%] Building CXX object test/CMakeFiles/gtest.dir/gtest/src/gtest-all.cc.o In file included from ~/.cache/yay/sdformat-6/src/osrf-sdformat-d4d9796600b9/test/gtest/src/gtest-all.cc:39: /home/weiluo/.cache/yay/sdformat-6/src/osrf-sdformat-d4d9796600b9/test/gtest/include/gtest/gtest.h:54:10: fatal error: 'limits' file not found

@tomcattiger Weird, can you try the following?

yay -Rns sdformat-6
rm -rf ~/.cache/yay/sdformat-6
yay -Syu sdformat-6

tomcattiger commented on 2019-10-14 07:30

@acxz Yes, I have tried to clean and re-download the package. But the problem is still not solved

acxz commented on 2019-10-13 00:35

@tomcattiger Can you make sure you are doing a clean build? When yay prompts you to do a Package Clean Build, make sure you respond A to it. Let me know if the problem persists.

Hello, I have met an issue, that

.cache/yay/sdformat-6/src/osrf-sdformat-d4d9796600b9/test/gtest/include/gtest/gtest.h:54:10: fatal error: 'limits' file not found

include <limits>

The last version of sdformat-6 6.2.0-2 can be installed successfully. Thanks for any suggestion.

@lucasmazz: interesting, on my system I am not getting these failures. I will go ahead and remove the unit testing from the PKGBUILD since unit test is not necessary to build, but you should go ahead and create a ticket upstream https://bitbucket.org/osrf/sdformat/src/default/ for this issue though.
