@02m Updated. I didn't expect that AUR helpers are caching PKGBUILDs.

Thanks for fixing the package! I noticed that you did not bump the pkgrel from 1 to 2. That means that AUR helpers do not know that cached PKGBUILD should be updated and they keep trying to build the broken version, until the cached version is removed manually.

@bertptrs Fixed, thanks.

It seems that you made a copy paste error while updating the checksums. Your checksum includes the work <paste> at the end. Otherwise it is correct.

As an aside, it is recommended to use whatever upstream provides as a signature for the check, and to not make your own. Rubygems [1] offers sha256 signatures.

And lastly, it seems that the site listed as upstream is not working anymore. I found this website which still seems operational:

@bidulock Why does it require jruby?

bidulock commented on 2018-09-08 23:26

Package contains ELF files and must not be arch=('any')

Package has missing depends 'jruby'.

DDoSolitary commented on 2018-08-03 13:55

Hello, while rdoc is in makedepends in PKGBUILD, it is in optdepends in .SRCINFO, so it is incorrectly displayed on the AUR website. Could you please fix this?

==> Starting package()... Building native extensions. This could take a while... Successfully installed json-2.1.0 ERROR: While executing gem ... (Gem::DocumentError) RDoc is not installed: cannot load such file -- rdoc/rdoc

So as @CarstenF said

Hello there is one missing dependency to build this package. Please add: ruby-rdoc as build dependency.

Hello, this package has some bugs and can not build via extra-x86_64-build:

  • the arch should be 'x86_64'
  • the command ruby -rubygems -e'puts Gem.default_dir' causes that all files to be directly installed under /. It should be ruby -e'puts Gem.default_dir'
  • please remove the source gem file from packge

There is a patch which may helpful:
