I flagged the package as out of date thinking 2017.2 had been released, but it was actually only 2017.1.2 - either way the package is out of date, but my comment about "not just EAP versions" doesn't make much sense, so I thought I'd clarify.

There's a pkgrel mismatch in .SRCINFO and PKGBUILD.

Errors should be resolved now.

Sorry guys I'm on vacation at the moment, thus the long response time.

1. There's an invalid checksum on rider.desktop in PKGBUILD
2. I get this when installing with pacaur:
:: rider package(s) failed to install.
:: ensure package version does not mismatch between .SRCINFO and PKGBUILD
:: ensure package name has a VCS suffix if this is a devel package

"one or more files did not pass the validity check"

Good question.
I used the desktop file generated by Rider as a template.
Nevertheless, i removed the entry.
Thanks for the hint.

Why does the last line in the desktop file say
OnlyShowIn=Old;
?
