This is currently broken as the translation files have different file extensions now. I believe they're baked into the binary, anyway.

I've builded it yesterday from AUR without any issues. What exactly is broken?

sudo should not be used to run a GUI application. That's what the system daemon is for.

There is a separate daemon package so GUI doesn't have to be run with sudo. User can execute this app as root if he wants to tho.

This does not need qt5-tools to build.

qt5-charts depends on qt5-base and libxkbcommon-x11 is required by qt5-base; the latter two are not necessary to include. libdrm is a missing dependency.

The Makefile should be used to install the files.

Alternatively, I adapted the launcher from Timeshift which uses pkexec. See my PKGBUILD.

For some reason it does not detect my graphics card anymore, I have a Radeon RX 480 4GB MSI OC, and I use Manjaro.

@marazmista...yes, current version is installed.

I need to put a correction in: if I right-click the tray icon, and select exit, r-p exits cleanly.

My coredumps occur when I exit out of i3 (restart in-place is not affected), back to lightdm-greeter.

Ok so after removing the config folder of radeon-profile it seems to stay stable now, maybe i had some corrupt data or something

Akrai commented on 2020-05-11 15:19

yes, it started happening this morning and last night i updated my packages, including qt4 aur package, which should have nothing to do with radeon-profile, but i dont know. Have you did pacman -Syu ? Maybe then you experience the crashes, i dont know

@merlock @Akrai Crash occur in latest 20200504 version?

merlock commented on 2020-05-11 13:04

@Akrai: I get the coredumps only when closing the app, or restarting my WM (i3).

Akrai commented on 2020-05-11 08:15

Does the GUI crashes for you too? It throws me Segment violation (`core' generated) before crashing

Update: if you read my comment, please forget it. The MAKEFILE point directly at /usr/share/radeon-profile/

Would it be possible to install the translation files under /usr/share/radeon-profile/translations please? This will keep things coherent with the build structure and some other projects.
