Hello,

I don't know why I was designated as co-maintainer of this package. In any case, I was a previous maintainer (maybe the first one? I don't remember).

This package is obsolete, it doesn't compile anymore and it's abandoned by upstream since 2015, at least.

To effeffe, jcazcarate, chilledfrogs et al.: I would say it's better to look elsewhere than trying to fix this broken package. Without upstream support, it will be a never ending chain of problems. A fork is a better idea, and there are plenty of them. IMHO, the best alternative is scidavis:

https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/scidavis-qt5/

Hello everyone, I was able to have the package building after patching some files, but now I have the sipAPIqti.h error, which says this file is not found. Any idea on how to solve? After getting it compiling fully, I will flag it back to updated.

To compile I had to install the deb packages qt-assistant-compat -dev versions, then sudo ln -s /usr/include/qt4/QtAssistant /usr/include/ and then install muparser manually: download from git\ extract\ cd\ ./configure --enable-shared=yes --enable-samples=yes --enable-debug=yes\ make\ sudo make install\ sudo echo "/usr/local/lib/" >> /etc/ld.so.conf.d/1-local.conf\ sudo ldconfig\ DONE\

Hence, we should try to make it decent and uploadable to aur, instead of precompiled. Best regards

Dear jcazcarate,

Unfortunately, the package has compiling issues with arch, therefore has been marked up to date. if you want to try installing it and contribute, you can still clone the git repo at the top of the page. For now, the only thing I can suggest you while the package tries to get fixed is this: https://github.com/effeffe/qtiplot_docker/ (also on docker hub)

Regards

Hi guys,

I sadly notice Qtiplot was marked as "out of date" and it's not possible to install. This software is super useful for scientific tasks. I love Arch, and don't want to move to Ubuntu or other distros just for this package that is fundamental for my work (and other scientific people, of course)

Please, could you reupload the package?

Thank you in advance

Hello there guys,

I fell upon this package in my desperate quest to get an alternative to Regressi for Linux, concerning that it refuses to run under WINE anymore, but then it seems that several of the required dependencies are no longer in the AUR...

If anyone can fix it, that would be great, in the meantime, I will flag this as out-of-date

EDIT: Welp, it was rather stupid of me to not check out available forks first, but hey, will still flag it out-of-date for future reference

Please see the patches I suggested to this Gentoo bug: https://bugs.gentoo.org/630332
They fix the compile-time errors for GCC 6, and may be useful here as well.

I dont need python but I need the QTexengine that allows to export the graphs as *.tex and is implemented here. I also like to have the translation.

I was able to build the package myself. Thanks sirocco!
