Yes, you are right. I have uploaded the new fixed PKGBUILD.

@blackhole I compiled in a clean chroot , using extra-x86_64-build command provided in devtool package. This ensures that the build will not be affected by the condition of the host system. This is the recommended way of building packages for the official repos, but it is also convenient for the packages on AUR. I personally build all packages using clean chroot, whether from AUR or official repos.
I changed the PKGBUILD to:
install -d "${pkgdir}"/usr/bin
for i in $(ls ${pkgdir}/usr/bin); do
ln -s /usr/bin/${i} ${pkgdir}/usr/bin/${i}-qt5
and it build fine in the clean chroot now. Maybe the path has been changed?

How did you compile?
Yes I have the same "No such file or directory" but at last the compilation is fine and the package created (using makepkg in a user directory)
...but you have '/build/qt5-quick1/pkg/qt5-quick1/usr/lib/qt5/bin'... did you build in a folder of the... root directory?

build failed with the following error:

make[1]: Leaving directory '/build/qt5-quick1/src/qtquick1/build/tools'

rm: cannot remove '/logdest/logpipe.p6z33RhI': No such file or directory

As the main repos have updated to Qt 5.7.1 my last comment has become obsolete. You should however update the package version accordingly.

I am having problems with installing twinkle-qt5 because of this package.
(/usr/lib64/cmake/Qt5Declarative/Qt5DeclarativeConfig.cmake from this package requestss Qt5.7.1 while /usr/lib64/cmake/Qt5Script/Qt5ScriptConfig.cmake offerst only 5.7.0)
The selection of #branch=5.7 is problematic as this branch has progressed to 5.7.1 while the arch repository packages are on 5.7.0

I had a look into the QtQuick1 repository and found that using #commit=26229cfa0b729313893af5674d604e8692dbb946 works.
This commit comes after the version bump to 5.7.0 and fixes the setBlinkingCursorEnabled problem.

Unfortunately, there is no tag as they stopped tagging versions after 5.5.1

You are right. Strange... I will upload a new PKGBUILD as soon as possible

For me it only works without the ".0" on line 15.

Compilation fails for me with:

line 15 of the current PKGBUILD needs to be changed. Add ".0" to the version like this:
