i'm getting the below error compiling sipsimple. I think this is somehow related to either ffmpeg or openh264. thoughts?
http://pastebin.com/sj9gpi43

---
edit:
I resolved this by removing the openh264 package

@promike

Thank you once again for the help, I had no idea a web version existed.

I got sipsimple and blink working again after getting rid of the libvpx.so.3 error. When recompiling and reinstalling ffmpeg v3.1.2, it complained that x265 and x265-hg cannot co-exist with each other. Strange, as I didn't know I had both. Nor did I ever see any error message about this before.

TLDR; After reinstalling ffmpeg and removing x265-hg, everything works again.

@theforeigner

All you have to do is recompile sipsimple ;)

Or you can use the webinterface as well: https://webrtc.sipthor.net/#!/login

ffmpeg is among friends now

theforeigner commented on 2016-08-06 12:05

Building with ffmpeg v2 works for me. However, upgrading later on to ffmpeg v3.x.x does NOT work any longer.

It probably has nothing to do with python2-sipsimple and is due to the ffmpeg v2 vs v3 mess and upgrades made to its dependencies.

Anyway, here's the error when I try to run blink:

@ogarcia
It's getting a little difficult to follow...
"Unfortunately", I could reproduce what you said.

Would you try compiling sipsimple without ffmpeg2.8. Is it really needed? Because I haven't try it yet. I mean, are both really needed? I suppose ffmpeg2.8 is just an older version of the ffmpeg. If you compare them you can see that both provide libavformat.

According to the official dependency list: ( https://ptpb.pw/u8V- )
* ffmpeg (libavformat, libswscale, libavcodec, libavutil) (2.0 release)

@promike

With ffmpeg2.8 only the package buid gives the following error.

You need ffmpeg package installed too. ;)
