@m040601: Ah, gotcha. I'm afraid that the split packages make it half the work to maintain so it is unlikely I'd re-split any of them. If you just want to modify the PKGBUILD locally and do it yourself occasionally, it isn't too hard. Sorry! :(

Sorry, I wasnt clear in what I was requesting. Shouldnt' have quoted the old "split package".

I am simply asking, if you could turn this into 2 separate packages.

I know what a split package is. But I just d o n t w a n t to download python2 on my system. Even if it's a temporary make dependency, that I can delete immediately.

Thanks in advance.

@m040601: Pretty sure that is just how makedepends=('python-setuptools' 'python2-setuptools') works with python split packages. If you can find / show an example that works how you expect, I can learn from it.

I'd love to merge python2-apscheduler into this and turn it into a split package

Any news about this ? I'm still being forced to install python2 stuff (as a make dependency) because of this package.

I'm trying to install other packages that depend on this one (example, Thanks in advance

3.6.0 is out for 3 months. Is there a reason it's not upgraded ?

This PKGBUILD works to update

pkgdesc="In-process task scheduler with Cron-like capabilities"
package() {
cd "$srcdir/$_pythonmod-$pkgver"
python2 install --root="$pkgdir/" --optimize=1
install -D -m644 LICENSE.txt "${pkgdir}/usr/share/licenses/${pkgname}/LICENSE"
