I'm not sure if this patch will break the existing library behavior, even if I adapt it for the new version.

Same here. 2 years later we're stuck to 6.3 due to this patch. I think it's ever worse with the new RPi4 :(

It works fine on aarch64 after applying the patches indicated by ava1ar. But then I am stuck with v6.3 :(

Isn't this a duplicate of python-raspberry-gpio?

@avanc: gcc is part of base-devel which is a requisite for doing anything with pkgbuilds.

avanc commented on 2019-01-13 14:05

It seems that the build dependency gcc is missing.

don't work on arm 64 archlinux because /proc/cpuinfo don't return hardware section :(

This one doesn't work on Raspberry with aarch64 kernel. Can you please apply patches from

z3ntu commented on 2017-12-27 13:31

Please add armv7h as supported architecture, otherwise makepkg doesn't like it on the Raspberry Pi 3 but you can also add armv6h (older RasPi_s I think) and aarch64 (RPi3 when running aarch64 instead of armv7h)

It doesn't build on a Raspberry PI because the arch is x86 instead of arm, beneath the package is dedicated to Raspi, thus arm.
