@eimis yes it's the problem, and more than that, 1.7.0 and 1.7.1 are marked as pre-releases

@gammahermit, ProtonMail just released an update, I updated the package.

gammahermit commented on 2018-05-17 00:27

The source package is no longer available from the protonmail site. Edit: updating the version to 1.0.4 in the PKGBUILD fixes it.

aimileus commented on 2018-05-16 17:17

@samhh, I would contact ProtonMail about the issue. If the issue is about a missing dependency or another packaging issue I will update the PKGBUILD, but all the dependencies in the official one are included (either explicitly or implicitly).

No luck for me, seems to hang for a while at "Adding account" before giving up and going back to the home screen sans new account.

@frenchbeard, wjhandley, you seem to be correct, I added gnome-keyring as a dependency.

frenchbeard commented on 2018-03-09 12:30

I can confirm the same behaviour here, requires gnome-keyring to finalize any account addition. Will check further tonight to see if it actually requires gnome-keyring or just any gcr compatible keyring.

wjhandley commented on 2018-03-05 21:02

In order to get this package to work, I had to install gnome-keyring. Without it, I was unable to add accounts, either via the cli or the gui, merely getting back to 'no accounts added' without any further feedback.
