@0jdxt ProtonTeam has access to this repo and I tried to reach out to them via email a couple of times but I didn't get answers except for once and that wasn't so informative either, I don't know why they don't push here. Until then, I will continue to update this package (Maybe with 1 or 2 days delay, but I'll do it, sorry)

Hi guys! the official latest PKGBUILD is at https://protonmail.com/download/bridge/PKGBUILD v1.6.3 at time of writing. would be good if they automatically pushed this to the AUR

@blackpoll of course it will, I was late because of some personal life issues, sorry

Will this be updated or should we switch to the source build?

1.5.6 works fine for me, just changed the version & sha256 sum in the pkgbuild and I've got it running.

@Cyb3rD4d thanks for flagging the package, but there is a problem with 1.5.4 deb file i think

There where always around 38MBs but this time it is 10MB and missing some libraries, And it is not working for me even when I build the official PKGBUILD (You should edit it to extract tar.gz instead of tar.xz)

This works. Two caveats with using the protonmail bridge that people should know about.

1) When adding a email address in thunderbird you will likely need to set encryption to none as TLS/Auto etc do not work for me (even after adding it as None then changing afterwards).

2) Archive folder needs to be set as Other and pointed to each accounts achieve folder once email has been checked for first time otherwise archive emails will bounce back to inbox with error.

3) You'll have to update it manually.

@petrmanek due to "https://protonmail.com/bridge/install" I think the latest stable version is 1.3.3

Hmmm, I didn't paid attention to HTTPS :-? Can it be a CDN problem? I don't know, that's weird

Can ISPs cache HTTPS? That sounds like a man-in-the-middle attack, is that really something they can do?
