I think this needs libusb-compat

2019/04/13 11:34:18 AM The H2C device can't be used, because the linux system does not support libusb or libusb version is too old.

Error message went away when libusb-compat was installed. Also without libusb-compat, the daemon was consuming 100% cpu.

I just bought a Cyberpower UPS. I install the software from the AUR of Manjaro Xfce 18 (not sure if the post has to be on Manjaro forum ?).The package installation works fine after manually enabling the daemon. Works as specified but I now experience random freezes and standby recovery fail a lot. I remove it and it's back to normal. Any idea how I can trace the problem ? Thanks

@m3thodic that's a good idea. Service file has been updated.

Thanks for bundling the software! Could you please add the following lines to the pwrstatd.service file:

By doing that pwrstatd will create the socket at /var/pwrstatd.ipc with the appropriate permissions to be able to query the daemon as a regular user that has been added to the power group.

$ ls -lah /var/pwrstatd.ipc
srwxrwxr-x 1 root power 0 Nov 25 22:44 /var/pwrstatd.ipc=

$ id | tr ',' '\n' | grep power

$ pwrstat -status

The UPS information shows as following:

        Model Name................... CP1500PFCLCD
        Firmware Number.............. 000000000000
        Rating Voltage............... 120 V
        Rating Power................. 900 Watt

In order to shut the computer down, PowerPanel requires "/etc/". If you don't want to include it in this package - due to possible conflicts with other packages - at least mention we'll need it (in a post-installation message).
