Hey gus. I just update this package to use community/electron4 package as dependency. This update will reduce the package size 100M around.

(Currently not runing under electron 5.x or above)

PS. Please disable self update in settings manually.

@linuxninja Yep there is no license file in their tar.gz package. All we can found is the EULA web page.

linuxninja commented on 2020-06-24 20:15

what? postman doesn't include a license file in their own package? you have to cat the EULA to a file from their webpage? I'd say if they don't include it in their package, just copy over the license files that are there and be done with it. isn't it on them to include it?

thanks all, will skip EULA checksum in PKGBUILD.

Hey @lilac

It doesn't make any sense to download EULA from the site. Put it to the git and save SHA1, please

postman 7.26.1-1

==> Validating source files with sha1sums...
    EULA.html ... FAILED

It's failing to install for me because of bad checksum on EULA.html; could we disable SHA1sum checking on this file?

omgitsaheadcrab commented on 2020-06-19 13:27

EULA.html fails sha1sum check again. Should now be e536f2e43c417bdd88087cf98af30a5092fc36f0

EULA.html has a bad sha1sum in PKGBUILD.

It's the first one. It should be bf9869d5f1743437a41dd439ab632455b3c39083

Can confirm the EULA.html is not validating as @pwlb commented below

:: Parsing SRCINFO (1/1): postman
==> Making package: postman 7.26.0-3 (Tue 16 Jun 2020 10:05:35 AM MDT)
==> Retrieving sources...
  -> Found EULA.html

  -> Found postman.sh

Error downloading sources: postman

the checksum for the EULA.html is still broken

    EULA.html ... FAILED
    postman.desktop ... Passed
    postman.sh ... Passed
==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check!
