Ah, my bad. Excuse my atrocious reading skills.

There wasn't one for the release (check the github page - the only .tar.xz is for the source).

As of two days ago, 2.02 is out, so let's update and use the .tar.xz.

A quick question. Why is the .deb used when there is also a .tar.xz binary available?

Good point. I'll add those as optdepends to be in-line with `pandoc`, too, then.

IMO, `pandoc` and `pandoc-bin` should correspond to `pandoc-citeproc` and `pandoc-citeproc-bin`. And under the same convention, I pushed `pandoc-crossref-bin` as a correspondence to `pandoc-crossref`.

We should perhaps merge them together, since that'd yield a faster installation.

I just pushed pandoc-citeprop-bin which is supposed to correspond to this package. Hope it helps :)

What about the extremely amount of pandoc filters? Are those available in AUR too? They are too much to check them, maybe there's a way to automatize it by using databases like

There are a newer version...

But not new binary :(

Also. Does this version include the zillion of patches? I was writing them, but a system failure made me lost them all :(

just my 2 cents: a while ago i was maintaining pandoc-static which built a static pandoc from source and avoided the haskell dependencies. i dropped it when an arch dev included pandoc in [community] and agreed to build pandoc statically too. i've no idea why this package went back to depend on haskell, and the arch dev has been unresponsive to my email.

fwiw the pandoc-static pkgbuild is here:
